  • Hi, I’m Rochelle. Welcome to Ballistics Dog Training.

I am a professional dog trainer. I was born and raised alongside Labrador Retrievers as my family bred pedigree Labradors. I was introduced to working dogs and a variety of other animals in Africa.

A lifetime of being around animals led me to complete my Diploma within Dog Training which I passed with distinction.

My experiences within the dog industry include training, pack walking, canine post medical care, canine physiotherapy and administering medication from chewing treats to intravenous administration to name a few.

My experience also extends extensively to the equine species where I have trained and competed young horses.

Fun fact: I love being around nature and at the beach

 FAQs

  • We are a force free training company, we use scientific based training which mostly consists of positive reinforcement. We also encourage use of clickers and secondary reinforcement. Another method we use is vicarious learning, this means a dog may learn by seeing another dog doing the same behaviour.

We use the least aversive and minimally intrusive training methods possible. We work to minimise anxiety and maximise fun! We NEVER inflict mental or physical harm on any dog.

  • Yes! The more the merrier! If everyone is consistent in training your dog then you will notice consistency in your dogs behaviour. During the initial training sessions however we don’t recommend having more than 2 people involved, this can increase with time though.

  • There are many benefits of dog training. The biggest is that you start to communicate with your dog more, we can teach you how to understand your dog and their needs better. You’ll also have a better behaved, confident, more sociable and happier dog.
